Sydney melodic death metal outfit Besomora return with their second EP, Devotion to the Fear, a powerful five-track release that sees the band pushing their melodic death metal foundations into heavier, darker and more modern territory.
Exploring themes of fear, anxiety, inner conflict and resilience, the EP combines crushing 9-string guitar work, aggressive low-tuned riffs and modern production with the soaring melodies and emotionally driven songwriting that define Besomora’s sound.
Following the release of singles Imminent Lies and Before I Die, the full EP brings together five tracks that explore the darker side of human nature, drawing on personal experiences and the band’s long-standing fascination with dark storytelling.
The release also features two special guest appearances from internationally renowned guitarists Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry, Meshuggah) on Imminent Lies and Chris Broderick (In Flames, ex-Megadeth) on Leave Me Alone, both of whom have been major influences on the band.
Produced by Mike Trubetskov and Matt Clarke, mixed by Mike Trubetskov and mastered by Lance Prenc, Devotion to the Fear represents a new chapter for the Sydney four-piece, delivering their most focused and ambitious material to date.
