A leading force of the early nineties Black Metal scene and revered as one of the genre’s most influential and pioneering acts, BEHERIT offers Australia their first ever, and only ever shows, this December. Formed in 1989 by Nuclear Holocausto Vengeance, BEHERIT quickly gained a reputation for their raw, unfiltered sound and blasphemous themes, laying the foundation for the atmospheric and ritualistic side of black metal. Their music ranges from savage and chaotic to deeply meditative, embodying both the aggression and mysticism of the genre. The unrelenting vision and willingness to experiment have secured their place as legends in the extreme metal underground.
PORTAL is a twisted vision, with a multitude of horror scapes seen through a distorted lens of filth. Elaborate darkness weaved into masses of Death Metal in its own antiquity of sonic violence and perpetuating the mythos self-created. The henchmen within this brood pledge to open up it’s gates to feed upon mortal terror, a duty to destroy the senses and sanity.
