So far this year Melbourne blackened post-metalcore band RUN have toured with The Amity Affliction and released three new hard-hitting. seasonal themed singles Spring featuring Joel Birch, Autumn, and Summer featuring John Floreani from Trophy Eyes.
Not only that, the band are gearing up for their much anticipated tour with UK’s Svalbard this week which will see them bring their new tracks to stages across the country and give heavy music fans a taste of what’s to come from their upcoming future full release.

The Everblack Podcast spoke to Lochlan Watt from RUN about their tour this week with Svalbard, upcoming EP and concepts behind it, love of Transformers and more.

While RUN‘s previous studio collaboration, the 2023 single Everyone’s Cancelled, Everything’s Cancer, introduced a full lineup while spitting out the resentment from prior years to create a fresh slate, the track also saw the band go on to tour around the country with DeafheavenHexis, and Earth Caller.

Now completed by fellow veteran musicians guitarists Lewis Noke-Edwards and Arron Parker Richards, drummer Adrian Horsman and bassist/vocalist Benn GaylorRUN continues to unveil a new bundle of self-produced, bittersweet crushers that shine bright thanks to the glorious mix of Forrester Savell (Karnivool).

“We have a six track EP coming very soon,” Watt concludes. “It features an intro/title track, four seasonal anthems, and a grand finale. I think it blows the band’s previous material out of the water.”
