Brisbane metalcore act Revoid release heartfelt new single, Blood Petals featuring Julian Latouche of Inertia ahead of an October East Coast headliner.

Dripping in despair, the dynamic ballad showcases a different side to the group through a delicately constructed arrangement that allows the duel vocals from Dale Dudeson and Inertia’s Julian Latouche to shine as the centrepiece. The heavy-hitting tune explores the heartache and remorse felt for a love lost and is the second installment of a new collection of music set to see its release next year.

“Blood Petals is a song rife with passion and regret. A familiar experience to most, it serves as a very personal insight into the throes of love and love lost and intertwines the great sadness and intensity we feel when what we have grown to love is helplessly taken from us.” Says Dudeson.

The track was produced and mixed by Mark Williamson at Keywork Audio (Inertia, Broken Earth), mastered by Kris Crummett (All Time Low, Sleeping With Sirens) and comes accompanied with a surrealist visual music video. Watch here.

Blood Petals arrives ahead of Revoid’s upcoming Misery Blooms tour supported by The Motion Below and Ghost Complex. The tour will kick off in Melbourne at Cactus Room on October 7 before heading to Sydney’s Burdekin Hotel on October 14 and Brisbane’s Blackdock Arts on October 20. Tickets on sale now.

Revoid is Dale Dudeson (vocals), Jack Carey (guitar), Josh ‘Krusty’ Gudgeon (guitar) and Nick Watson (drums).  Since forming, the four-piece have toured with the likes of Void of Vision, Bloom, alt., and more, before unleashing their fierce debut EP, ‘Sleepless Still’ last year to a packed hometown show, further establishing Revoid as one of Brisbane’s premier metalcore acts. The EP was launched on vinyl in collaboration with Anti Vinyl Vinyl Club and singles from the release landed the group as Spotify cover artists on editorial playlist Homegrown + Heavy.

Revoid released their high voltage single Burn With Me in June and now Blood Petals joins a body of work that has amassed over 450,000 streams across all streaming platforms with features on triple j unearthed, Triple M, Wall of Sound, HEAVY Mag and more.

Catch Revoid showcasing Blood Petals live along the East Coast on the Misery Blooms tour this October. Blood Petals is out now on all streaming platforms.
