Recently after a prolonged legal dispute, the surviving members of Soundgarden and Chris Cornell’s widow, Vicky, have resolved their differences and agreed to release the band’s final recordings with the legendary frontman who passed away in by suicide on May 18, 2017. He was 52-years-old.

Back in 2019, Cornell had initiated legal proceedings against the band members and their manager, claiming ownership of unreleased Soundgarden songs and the accompanying royalties, which she estimated to be worth “hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

Earlier this year, a judge dismissed the case, stating that there was no evidence that the surviving band members were withholding royalties from Cornell.

Stay tuned for more news on the unreleased music.
