Mike Schleibaum from DARKEST HOUR talks Australian tour, new album and almost 30 years!

US metallers, Darkest Hour will return to Australia next this week for the first time on over a decade for a 5 date assault on our cities.

The bastard child of the 90’s punk, metal and hardcore movements, Darkest Hour combine the passion, energy and soul of punk & hardcore with the speed, vengeance and fury of melodic speed, thrash and death metal for a sound that is pure carnage.

Helping to define the New Wave Of American Heavy Metal 25 years ago, Darkest Hour are one of the pioneers of the new breed and are a band that gave the heavy music world the revitalisation it sorely needed, forging the template for modern metal!

The Everblack Podcast spoke to DARKEST HOUR guitarist Mike Schleibaum about their upcoming Australian tour and incredible local supports like Lycanthrope and Primitive, live in lockdown record, new album, jam room beer etiquette, almost 30-year anniversary, future of the band and more!

With 9 studio albums under their belts and music featured in major motion pictures, television shows and video games, Darkest Hour have permeated the widest realms of pop culture, all while flying the metal flag high.

Sydney is ranked as #4 on the bands Top 5 Most listened to Cities on their Spotify page. This return tour is long overdue!
Playing tracks off their extensive discography including critically acclaimed albums, Deliver Us, Undoing Ruin and The Human Romance these shows should not be missed.
