Parkway Drive has unveiled the brand-new trailer, poster, and theatrical release date for the highly anticipated upcoming feature documentary PARKWAY DRIVE: HOME.
The landmark film will be released in select cinemas across Australia on Thursday 12 November, with the world premiere set to take place at the State Theatre in Sydney on Tuesday 10 November.
The black-tie event will feature an exclusive in-person Q&A with Parkway Drive. Tickets to the world premiere are on sale at 9:00am AEST via Ticketmaster, with limited spots available.
PARKWAY DRIVE: HOME follows the band’s meteoric rise from metal underdogs to a global behemoth, culminating in the group’s most ambitious live show to date.
In a radical departure from the chaos and energy of heavy music, the band set out to stage a one-night-only performance at a sold-out Sydney Opera House, reimagining their music with special guests and a full symphony orchestra in a formal black-tie setting.
For a genre built on sweat-soaked mosh pits and raw aggression, the idea borders on sacrilege. If it fails, it could jeopardise a reputation forged over twenty relentless years.
Captured on an epic scale, PARKWAY DRIVE: HOME immerses audiences in what is the group’s most visually stunning and technically challenging performance of their career.
Self-funded at a level normally reserved for an entire European arena tour, everything is risked on a single night for just 2,000 seated guests.
Behind the scenes, the band confront their own doubts as self-taught musicians working alongside some of the world’s most accomplished orchestral performers.
As fans travel from around the world to witness the event, band and audience alike reveal the deeply personal stories that have bound them together for two decades.
The film captures a moment where vulnerability, risk and community converge, as Parkway Drive attempt to redefine what heavy music can be.
If that wasn’t enough, the PARKWAY DRIVE: HOME also features a jaw-dropping, world-first stunt that saw frontman Winston McCall rappel from a helicopter onto the Sydney Opera House’s famous sails. McCall descended 65 metres before landing on a platform just 60 centimetres wide – a feat that pushed the production to its limit.
PARKWAY DRIVE: HOME is directed by Allan Hardy (Viva The Underdogs) and Macario De Souza (Bra Boys). It is produced by Hype Republic and distributed by Mushroom Studios.
