Bleeding Art Collective present the second go for the throat single ‘Source of Hate’ from London tech-metalcore act Perpetual Paradox.
In contrast to the technical prowess of lead single ‘Smell the Rot’, the band have taken a more confronting and aggressive approach on the new single, further enhanced by the raw and unhinged look of the accompanying video, which you can check in comments!
Outlining the theme behind the song, singer Adrian Graven states:
“This song is about the cycle of hate represented as a disease or parasite growing inside somebody. The body horror imagery is there to make hatred feel alive, like something feeding on you and reshaping who you are over time. At the start the hate feels external, like something forced onto somebody else, but by the end the character fully becomes it – “I am the source of hate.” The song is also about people who constantly push and provoke others until eventually they create the exact anger and violence they were feeding in the first place. The ending line “you’ll choke on it yourself” is basically the cycle continuing again instead of ever truly ending”
Taken from the band’s upcoming EP ‘May Misery Befall You’, released through Bleeding Art Collective in partnership with Blood Blast Distribution on August 28, Perpetual Paradox will then be taking the music to the stage on the upcoming ‘Beholden To Hate UK’ dates alongside deathcore destroyers The Cartographer.
