One of the world’s most popular and acclaimed live bands, SIMPLE MINDS, will return to Australia in February 2027 as part of their V Tour 2027, celebrating five decades of music.
The Australian arena tour will see the Scottish rock legends perform across the country, joined by electronic music pioneer GARY NUMAN as very special guest.
Since the release of their debut album, Life in a Day, SIMPLE MINDS have enjoyed a remarkable career, selling out arenas and stadiums around the world. Renowned for their anthemic choruses and expansive sound, the band became one of the defining acts of the 1980s and have continued to inspire generations of artists.
Their enduring catalogue includes global hits such as Alive and Kicking, Promised You A Miracle, Waterfront, Don’t You (Forget About Me), Belfast Child, Sanctify Yourself, She’s a River and Let There Be Love, with the band having sold more than 60 million albums worldwide.
Frequently cited as an influence by younger artists, SIMPLE MINDS continue to receive critical acclaim for their live performances and creativity. MOJO recently described the band’s energy as “undiminished”, while their ongoing global success demonstrates the enduring power of their music. Their iconic track Don’t You (Forget About Me) has also recently joined Spotify’s prestigious Billions Club.
Joining SIMPLE MINDS on the V Tour 2027 as very special guest is GARY NUMAN, who will make his long-awaited return Down Under for his first Australian tour in more than a decade.
