The immense third single ‘The Nighlight Sigil’ by the tremendous Tasmanian death metal dealers THE ABSOLUTION SEQUENCE has been unleashed!!
Taken from the bands upcoming new album ‘Dread Cycle’, due for release on August 14 through Bleeding Art Collective. Mixed by Chris Themelco at Monolith Sound in Melbourne, and mastered by the world renowned producer Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studio in Sweden (Dimmu Borgir, Sepultura, Arch Enemy), ‘The Nightlight Sigil’ follows the previous single releases ‘Ghost Mantra’ and ‘Idols of Confraternity’.
Vocalist Shawn Wells calls the song the most personal track on ‘Dread Cycle’:
“The Nightlight Sigil is a tale of family trauma, toxic home environments and the way in which one is treated in the aftermath. Often those who have suffered the most where they are meant to feel protected are shamed and forgotten. The aim of this is to keep the conversation alive and begin to heal these deep wounds.”
