In support of their long-overdue debut album The World Is Not Yours, Melbourne-based purveyors of blackened grinding death MUNT are set to unleash a spiteful nine-date Australian east coast tour throughout March and April 2026. Joined by death/groove churners Nembutolik, the run promises unfiltered chaos, claustrophobic intensity, and zero compromise as the band brings their bleak sonic vision to stages across the country.
The Everblack Podcast caught up with Tim “Mothlord” Richmond from Munt to talk about the making of their latest album The World Is Not Yours, the meaning behind its confronting themes and artwork, Tim also discusses influences, the creative process, and Munt’s upcoming Australian tour.

From start to finish, the album drags the listener through an urban hellscape of despair, disillusion, and the realisation of powerlessness. This is MUNT at their most focused, dynamic, and driven — Their sound, distilled into its purest and most caustic form, stands as one defining statement:
THE WORLD IS NOT YOURS
