With his band OTTTO set to release their brand-new EP ‘Sweaty Pool’ on December 5 via Regime Music Group, Tye Trujillo is also gearing up to return to Australia — this time as bassist for Suicidal Tendencies, who kick off their ANZ tour this week.
The Everblack Podcast spoke to Tye Trujillo about OTTTO’s new EP Sweaty Pool, the powerful message behind their track “Rest to Breathe”, his return to Australia with Suicidal Tendencies, touring the world with his musical family, playing Metallica stadium shows, hitting the road with Korn at just 12 years old, his thoughts on the new generation of rock and metal fans being inspired through platforms like Stranger Things and Fortnite. We also talk about what’s next for OTTTO and Suicidal’s as they head into Coachella and beyond.

The title track, the music video for which can be seen below, brings an extra jolt of chaos thanks to a guest appearance from Nick Oliveri (ex-QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, KYUSS). Taking over lead vocal duties, Oliveri delivers a blast of raw punk ferocity that amplifies the band’s unrelenting edge.
Based out of Los Angeles, CA OTTTO brings a fresh new element to live energetic music with a blend of a punk, alternative, and grunge influence. The band’s previous gigs have ranged all the way from backyard house shows to Lollapalooza. The band’s current lineup consists of Tye Trujillo (bass), Triko Chavez (drums), and Micheal Arms (guitar). Along with their previous releases “Self titled” (2020) & “Life Is A Game” (2023) Ottto continues to bring new music to the table with their upcoming EP “Sweaty Pool” Including a feature by Nick Oliveri (ex-Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age)
