Rock icons THE USED are about to embark on their Australian 25th Anniversary Tour offering an unforgettable experience for fans, with multiple nights in each city across Australia featuring a full album playthrough of the music they created that shaped the sound of early 2000s alternative rock. The celebration will highlight their first three albums performed in full: their self-titled record The Used (2002), In Love And Death (2004) and Lies For The Liars (2007).

The Everblack Podcast spoke to Jepha from The Used about the upcoming tour, relearning old songs, the difficulty of putting the latest tour together, the bands loyal fanbase and much much more!

Watch/listen to the interview here:

As The Used hit their 25-year milestone, their first three albums remain highly influential—each certified gold or platinum in the U.S. and contributing to over 10 million albums sold worldwide.

The band is deeply thankful to fans. Frontman Bert McCracken (aka robbietheused) shared, “These first three records put us on the map. I can’t wait to play them front to back. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Bassist Jepha added, “We’re humbled to have been part of something bigger than ourselves for 25 years—here’s to the next 25!” Drummer Dan Whitesides echoed, “These songs mean so much to us, as we know they do to so many.”

Their Australian tour kicks off Wednesday, August 13 in Brisbane and runs through Wednesday, September 3 in Perth, hitting Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide in between. Each city will host three back-to-back nights, spotlighting one album per night: 2002’s The Used, 2004’s In Love And Death, and 2007’s Lies For The Liars—all performed in full, plus bonus hits.

The Used (2002) helped define post-hardcore, blending raw emotion with intricate instrumentation. It reached #63 on the Billboard 200 and #34 on the ARIA chart, with singles like “The Taste of Ink” and “Buried Myself Alive.”

In Love And Death (2004) built on that momentum with its mix of heavy riffs, vulnerability, and anthemic choruses, debuting at #6 on Billboard and expanding the band’s global reach.

2007’s Lies For The Liars pushed their sound further, blending horror punk and alt-rock theatrics. Debuting at #5 on both U.S. and Australian charts, it featured “Pretty Handsome Awkward,” later featured in Transformers, and became their fastest-selling UK album.

Now, The Used are ready to relive those pivotal years—live, loud, and in full.
