Sydney metal heavyweights Justice For The Damned share the title track to their long-awaited upcoming album, Stay Relentless, out August 15 via Greyscale Records. They join Make Them Suffer this week on a regional lap of Australia, tickets on sale via Destroy All Lines.

Written during a time of personal challenge, new single Stay Relentless channels hope and resilience and is a scathing affirmation for pushing through adversity with a steadfast mindset: “The track was written as a reminder to self that you can take whatever life throws at you when your mind is set on it,” says the band. “It’s interesting that the song became a premonition with the hurdles that would come at Justice that same year.”

The track follows “Built To Be Broken”, which accompanied the album announcement in May and sharpened the blade of the band’s signature sound without compromising its core. “Every element is showcased at one point or another,” the band shares. “The vocals are the meanest Bobak has ever sounded, the guitars relentlessly hammer the main riff into your brain, the drums are fast and precise and the bass soars on its own toward the end to lead you into the final breakdowns (both of them) where everything comes together to totally crush your skull.”

Though new music may have previously been a long time coming, Justice For The Damned never slowed down. With nearly a decade of non-stop touring across Australia, the US, and Europe, the band has forged a reputation for their live shows and their ability to connect with the most intense crowds around the world. Their time on the road has shaped the new material, drawn from the incredible artists they’ve shared the stage with and the crowds they’ve performed for: “A huge focus was writing music that would be fun to play live for the next few years—and we managed to do that while still retaining our favourite Justice tropes,” they explain. “Musically, we’re leaning further into a metalcore-mosh sound, paying homage to our early days in Western Sydney. We’re not reinventing the wheel, but we’re making sure it rolls smoother and heavier.”

“Stay Relentless” becomes the third single to lead the way towards the bands third studio album, marking their first taste of new music since their critically acclaimed 2020 album Pain Is Power cracked the ARIA Top 20 and skyrocketed the band across the globe. They’ll launch their new music live on a regional Australian run supporting Make Them Suffer through June and July. In recent times they’ve shared stages with the likes of Chamber (us), Kublai Khan (us), Harms Way (us), Malevolence (uk), Left To Suffer (us), Thy Art Is Murder and have ticked off multiple sold out headline sets – proving why they’ve grown to be one of Australia’s most revered metal bands.

Title track “Stay Relentless” is out now and streaming everywhere, Stay Relentless the album will be available Friday August 15 via Greyscale Records.
