Dorssa is the melodic death metal project of Adelaide-based songwriter Ella Metcalfe, who handles vocals, guitars and bass.
Produced by Matt G Walters of Freedom of Fear, who also performs drums and synths, the self-titled debut EP showcases four tracks blending blistering technical death metal with slower, emotionally charged atmospheric passages and touches of melodic black metal coldness.
Mixed and mastered in Germany by Christoph Brandes (Necrophagist, Virvum), the EP delivers a crystal-clear yet powerful sound with a distinctly European character.
Following the release of debut single ‘Wolf’, Dorssa is generating buzz in the Adelaide metal scene, with Metcalfe’s searing vocals, technical guitar work and refined songwriting marking a powerful first release.
Dorssa’s self-titled EP is out November 6.
