BURY TOMORROW: Daniel Winter-Bates Talks New Music, Vocals & Australian Tour

British metalcore titans Bury Tomorrow will return to Australia this September for a run of headline shows across the country with support from Alabama thrashers, Gideon, and Brisbane nu-metal provocateurs Headwreck.

The Everblack Podcast caught up with Daniel Winter-Bates from Bury Tomorrow to talk about their crushing new single ‘Sx’, pushing the band’s sound into new territory, embracing change after 20 years, the evolution of modern metal vocals, his influences from deathcore and industrial metal, vocal techniques, and returning to Australia for their upcoming headline tour.

WATCH/LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW HERE:

After four acclaimed albums with Sony Music, Bury Tomorrow enter a bold new era with their crushing new single “Sx” and the launch of their independent label DEA†H Records.

The track arrives ahead of their Australian headline tour this September, featuring support from Alabama metalcore heavyweights Gideon and Brisbane nu-metal outfit Headwreck.

Short for Symptom, “Sx” explores the duality of human nature — the battle between light and darkness, certainty and doubt — while showcasing a new sonic direction inspired by industrial, darkwave and electronic influences.

Produced by Carl Bown (Sleep Token, BFMV), the single marks the beginning of Bury Tomorrow’s most ambitious chapter yet, built on creative freedom, reinvention and pushing the boundaries of modern metal.
