Live Nation has today announced an extensive Australian and New Zealand tour from revered US rock icons QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, set to take place across December 2026.
The band, comprised of Josh Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore, will perform seven outdoor and arena shows, marking their first return to the region since 2024. Joining them on the run are legendary alternative rock pioneers PRIMUS and Australian experimental art-punk favourites TROPICAL FUCK STORM.
The tour kicks off at The Drive in Adelaide on Tuesday, December 8 before heading to Hobart’s MyState Bank Arena, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, Sydney’s Afterpay Arena, Newcastle Entertainment Centre and Brisbane Entertainment Centre, before wrapping up at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Sunday, December 20.
Australian and New Zealand audiences will be the first to experience an all-new live production following the band’s current European tour alongside SYSTEM OF A DOWN, upcoming US dates with FOO FIGHTERS, and a headline performance in Iceland this October.
The announcement also arrives alongside the release of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE‘s brand-new single, “Easy Street,” available now via Matador Records / Remote Control Records.
Originally debuted live during the band’s acclaimed Catacombs tour, “Easy Street” marks their first new music since 2023’s In Times New Roman. The track blends acoustic guitars, psychedelic synth textures and an organic rhythm section with the unmistakable songwriting of Josh Homme. Guest vocalist Nikki Lane adds a gritty, soulful counterpoint to Homme’s smooth lead vocal, bringing a distinctive Wanda Jackson-inspired edge to the song.
The accompanying music video, directed by Tony Wolski and Christopher Gruse from a story conceived by Josh Homme, follows a bruised and battered Homme attempting to outrun a bizarre cast of pursuers—including his own bandmates dressed as a Juggalo, mall Santa, leather enthusiast and an impeccably dressed cowboy leading a tiny horse—before delivering a heartfelt twist that celebrates the outsiders so often overlooked.
