In This Moment – Return With Brand New Song “Sleeping With The Enemy”

Blending theatrical intensity with razor-sharp modern rock, IN THIS MOMENT have spent the last decade building one of heavy music’s most unmistakable identities.

Led by the magnetic presence of Maria Brink, the GRAMMY-nominated band have transformed their fusion of spectacle, vulnerability and massive melodic hooks into a global phenomenon, earning platinum-certified success and more than two billion career streams along the way.

Now, the band begin their next chapter with the release of the explosive new single, “Sleeping With The Enemy”, out now via Better Noise Music.

For more on the single, Brink shares: “With ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ and our upcoming album, we’re confronting the darkness — whether it’s inside us or external. It’s about looking that darkness in the face and transforming it into empowerment. We feel so exhilarated and ready to show the world what we’ve conjured up.”

“Sleeping With The Enemy” and the previously released “Heretic” featuring Kim Dracula mark the first glimpse into the band’s upcoming as-yet-untitled ninth studio album and their debut release for Better Noise Music. Further details surrounding the album are expected to be revealed soon.

Elsewhere, Brink also appears on the current Eva Under Fire single “Villainous”, continuing her prolific creative run beyond the band’s own catalogue.

Since forming in 2005, IN THIS MOMENT have cultivated a fiercely loyal fanbase under the guidance of Brink alongside co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth, bassist Travis Johnson, guitarist Randy Weitzel and drummer Kent Diimmel. Across two decades, the band have cemented themselves as one of the most influential and visually distinctive acts in modern heavy music.

To date, IN THIS MOMENT have amassed more than two billion streams globally. Alongside the gold-certified album Blood (2012), the band have earned seven gold and two platinum singles, while also securing a trio of Top 25 entries on the Billboard 200 with Black Widow (2014) and Ritual (2017).

Between sold-out headline tours and arena appearances, the band have performed at some of the world’s biggest festivals, including Lollapalooza and Sonic Temple. Their seventh studio album, Mother (2020), was created with longtime collaborator Kevin Churko, known for his work with Ozzy Osbourne and Five Finger Death Punch. The album’s lead single, “The In-Between”, later earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2020.

In 2022, the band celebrated the tenth anniversary of Blood with the release of Blood 1983 via BMG, a reimagined EP revisiting the landmark album. The following year saw the release of their eighth full-length album, Godmode, featuring the crushing lead single “The Purge”, a striking cover of Björk’s “Army Of Me”, the collaborative track “Damaged” with Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, and “I Would Die For You”, which appeared on the soundtrack for John Wick: Chapter 4.

Now, IN THIS MOMENT are preparing to usher in yet another bold era, continuing to blur the lines between darkness, empowerment and theatrical artistry. If “Sleeping With The Enemy” is any indication, the band’s next evolution may be their most ambitious yet.
