Swedish melodic death metal pioneers At The Gates have released their new studio album The Ghost of a Future Dead, which is out now worldwide via Century Media Records.
The follow-up to 2021’s The Nightmare of Being, the album stands as a powerful and emotional release and serves as a tribute to late frontman Tomas Lindberg, who tragically passed away in September 2025.
At The Gates lineup on the record features Tomas Lindberg (vocals), Anders Björler (guitar), Jonas Björler (bass), Martin Larsson (guitar), and Adrian Erlandsson (drums).
Alongside the release, the band have shared a new video for “In Dark Distortion,” created by longtime collaborator Costin Chioreanu (http://www.twilight13media.com/):
The video is part of a larger conceptual visual project spanning the album, blending painting, filming, editing, and production to expand the record’s narrative world.
