Swedish progressive metal masters Evergrey have unveiled their powerful new single “Architects Of The New Weave”, taken from their upcoming fifteenth studio album Architects Of A New Weave, set for release on June 5, 2026 via Napalm Records. The track arrives alongside a visually striking animated video that showcases the band’s signature blend of haunting melodies, heavy riffs, and emotionally charged lyricism.
More than three decades into their career, the Gothenburg veterans continue to evolve while maintaining the dark, atmospheric sound that has defined their legacy. With “Architects Of The New Weave”, the band once again demonstrates their ability to craft timeless progressive metal while still surprising fans with an innovative approach.
Architects Of A New Weave will be released just days before Evergrey take the stage as special guests to heavy metal legends Iron Maiden for two shows on the band’s “Run For Your Lives” World Tour.
The album dives into themes of transformation, resilience, and confronting inner darkness. Cinematic in scope yet intensely personal, the record moves through moments of tension and release, ultimately rising above despair with power and momentum.

Frontman Tom S. Englund shared his thoughts on the band’s latest release:
“‘Architects Of The New Weave’ is a blistering first single from our 15th studio album, Architects Of A New Weave (or the second ferocious strike if you count our standalone powerhouse ‘OXYGEN!’ as its own beast). I’m not afraid to say this is a no-brainer, sing-along friendly, straight-up great metal song.
It came from Rikard Zander’s killer keyboard riff, which we hammered into a short but massive headbanger. When crafting the chorus keyboard line, ‘Rainbow In The Dark’ was blasting in my head — pure epic inspiration. There are dual guitar solos trading fire in classic old-school style, melodic and memorable. We can’t wait to play this one live.”

The album features standout tracks including “The World Is On Fire”, “Leaving The Emptiness”, “Heaven”, “The Prophecy”, and the title track “Architects Of The New Weave”. Later in the record, Gothenburg metal icon Mikael Stanne — known for his work with Dark Tranquillity, The Halo Effect, Grand Cadaver, and Cemetery Skyline — joins Englund for the track “A Burning Flame”.
Architects Of A New Weave was produced by Tom S. Englund and Vikram Shankar, with mixing handled by Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood.
Several special editions of the album will include a bonus disc featuring additional tracks such as “Heights” and “One Heart”, an album mix of the previously released single “OXYGEN!”, demo material, instrumental versions of new songs, and a live recording of “Falling From The Sun” from the band’s previous album Theories Of Emptiness (2024).
