NEWCASTLE PROGRESSIVE METAL BAND RUSSIAN NOVEL PREMIERES LATEST SINGLE AND MUSIC VIDEO FOR “HOTEL”

Newcastle-based progressive metal band Russian Novel debut their latest single “Hotel,” alongside its music video filmed at the iconic Bartholomew’s venue in Newcastle, NSW.

The track is one of their heaviest yet most dynamic releases in the band’s catalogue, showcasing powerful vocals and crushing instrumentation that are becoming trademarks of the band’s sound.

The track is based on the Stephen King psychological thriller movie thriller titled ‘Room 1408″

“We really wanted to write a song that was undeniably heavy, yet captured the eeriness and atmosphere of the film. We’re all about supporting local businesses, and we felt that using Bartholomew’s in Newcastle as a shooting location was exactly what the song needed. It had the vibe of The Shining’s Overlook Hotel bar, and we couldn’t have been happier with the final product.
