DOSE: Australia’s New Gritty Rock Quartet Makes a Fierce Entrance

Mix two parts dirty rock with two parts blues punk, and you get a four-shot cocktail of gritty, guitar-driven energy called DOSE.

Formed in mid-2025, the Melbourne four-piece hit the ground running, landing the main support slot for American alternative rockers EVERCLEAR and tearing through three weeks of sold-out shows across the country. Their big break came from a rough rehearsal recording—proof that raw talent often speaks the loudest.

Just two weeks before the EVERCLEAR tour kicked off, DOSE headed into the studio to record their first offering. The session produced three tracks: My Bad, Late Arrival, and Talk Like That, with My Bad now available on Bandcamp.

The band—Mark, Max, Jake, and Jaz—bring years of experience from the Australian rock scene, having previously played in acts like The Mercy Kills, The Dead Amigos, Dracorex, and Massive.

“This combination is the result of long-time mates all landing on the same page and some very good timing, haha,” the band says. “We want to be authentic and honest about what we do, and that’s why this line-up feels so damn good. That’s our DOSE!”

Looking ahead, 2026 promises to be an exciting year as DOSE writes, records, and delivers more electrifying shows to a growing audience.
