A haunting reflection of our hyperconnected reality, new single THOUGHT LEADER explores digital isolation, cynicism, and emotional numbness in the modern age – it is HEALTH at their most existentially charged and sonically ferocious. Trapped in a loop of screens, self-doubt, and consumer emptiness, the song captures the crushing sense of burnout and lost meaning that defines the post-digital psyche.
As with previous singles from CONFLICT DLC, THOUGHT LEADER arrives alongside an ever-expanding series of exclusive remixes, released via the band’s SoundCloud, featuring reimagined versions from artists including BROOKS ALEXSANDER and LIL TEXAS. These remixes continue to build a parallel world around the album where HEALTH’s brutalism and club sensibilities collide.
Currently in the middle of their North American tour with Pierce The Veil, HEALTH have been bringing their apocalyptic live energy to amphitheatres across the continent. Famed for their ability to turn chaos into catharsis, the band’s shows have become a full-sensory immersion – harrowing riffs, cinematic electronics, and an overwhelming intensity that blurs the line between concert and ritual. Fans can expect THOUGHT LEADER to make its way into the setlist as the band continues the run through the remainder of the year.
Earlier this month HEALTH announced their 2026 co-headline tour with French synth-metal artist Carpenter Brut – all forthcoming tour tickets available here.
A prelude to their most unflinching work yet, THOUGHT LEADER cements HEALTH’s position as one of the most vital forces in modern heavy music – a band chronicling the emotional decay of the digital era with unrelenting precision. Fans can expect more of HEALTH’s unapologetically heavy sound from new album CONFLICT DLC which sees the band continue to explore deep existential undercurrents through a borderless genre lens. HEALTH want this new era to speak directly to their fanbase, which they describe as a “coalition of subcultures” – spanning memelords, heavy music diehards, the perverted and generally pop culture obsessed – and for all its existential strain, it is ultimately designed for enjoyment.
