Progressive death metal titans PERSEFONE are set to make their long-awaited debut on Australian soil this October, joining the bill for one of the most exciting tours of the year. Hailing from the stunning landscapes of Andorra, the band has carved out a global reputation since their formation in 2001, earning acclaim for their intricate musicianship, conceptual depth, and genre-defying blend of technical precision and melodic emotion. With releases like Spiritual Migration and the recent Lingua Ignota EP, PERSEFONE have cemented themselves as one of progressive metal’s most forward-thinking and emotionally resonant forces.
This monumental tour also features Australia’s own BE’LAKOR, returning for their ‘20 Years of Live Be’lakor’ celebration shows, bringing their immersive brand of melodic death metal back to the east coast. Rounding out the lineup is ORPHEUS OMEGA, who will mark the 10-year anniversary of their landmark album Partum Vita Mortem, a cornerstone of Australia’s melodic death metal scene.
The Everblack Podcast sat down with Sergi “Bobby” Verdeguer of Persefone to talk about their first ever Australian tour with BE’LAKOR and Orpheus Omega, the creation of the Lingua Ignota EP, highlights from playing Hellfest, meeting his musical heroes, and what’s next for the band.
