Progressive metalcore trailblazers Born of Osiris have recently released their long-awaited new album Through Shadows, out now via Sumerian Records.
Through Shadows marks a powerful return for the band, capturing both their signature technical precision and emotional depth, and signaling a new era in their storied evolution.
The Everblack Podcast spoke to BORN OF OSIRIS drummer Cameron Losch about their new album Through Shadows, creative evolution, upcoming music, and a possible The Discovery 15th anniversary tour. Cam also discussed collaborating with Spencer Chamberlain of Underoath, the influence of Aussie bands, their U.S. tour, and a potential Australian return in the near future!

The album represents a significant chapter in the band’s journey, both musically and personally. Speaking about the release, the band described Through Shadows as “a journey forged in the crucible of personal growth and resilience.” The title itself is inspired by the lyric “through shadow light remains,” symbolizing hope, transformation, and perseverance through life’s darkest moments.
In the lead-up to the album’s release, Born of Osiris dropped several hard-hitting singles— “Torchbearer,” “A Mind Short Circuiting,” “Elevate,” “In Desolation,” and the title track “Through Shadows”—which have already amassed nearly 2 million combined views on YouTube.
With plans for a U.S. headline tour and talk of a 15th anniversary tour for their fan-favorite album The Discovery, Born of Osiris are showing no signs of slowing down. And if Through Shadows is any indication, the future is looking brighter—and heavier—than ever.
