Northlane will return to the regions for the first time in three years! Kicking off in Queensland and winding up in Victoria, the heavy music trailblazers will charge across the country in July and August with special guests Ocean Grove and Mirrors, alongside dedicated openers in each state. It also marks the last Australian tour before the Northlane bunker down to write new music.
The Everblack Podcast caught up with Marcus Bridge from Northlane to discuss their upcoming Australian regional tour, the new music they’re working on, his love for Japan and performing there, their collaboration on the Fretless: The Wrath of Riffson video game soundtrack, future plans, and more!

It’s been an immense couple of years for Northlane that has seen them cement their status as one of the most innovative and influential bands in heavy music. In 2024, Northlane released their acclaimed EP, Mirror’s Edge, which explored their most vivid colours and textures, with bonus shades from Australian icons Winston McCall (Parkway Drive) and Ian Kenny (Karnivool / Birds of Tokyo). They backed it up with the single “Welcome to the Industry” released as part of the soundtrack for the forthcoming video game Fretless – The Wrath of Riffson.
In between it all, the band has been doing countless laps of the globe, thrilling crowds with their immersive live shows that take their signature fusion of metal and electronic music to another transcendental dimension. They’ve dominated festival stages here at Good Things and Bassinthegrass, supported Slipknot at their mammoth arena show in NZ and will return to Europe to leave their mark on Rock Am Ring, Download, Graspop and Re
Northlane have assembled a stellar lineup of local heavyweights to join them all over Australia. First up eclectic trio of misfits Ocean Grove who recently dropped their fourth record, ODDWORLD. A triumph of innovation and ceaseless imagination, the album is the ultimate blend of chaos, charisma and craftsmanship. Next up is Gippsland natives Mirrors who have carved a space in the heavy community with their weighty atmospheric sound and deeply introspective lyrics. The band recently dropped their new single “Vestige” teasing a new album on the horizon. Also rounding out the bill is Headwreck in Queensland, Heists in New South Wales, Darkmatter in Western Australia and Lune in Victoria.
As mentioned, once the All Over Australia Tour wraps, Northlane will head back into the studio to lay down the foundations of their next musical chapter. Don’t miss the last chance to catch them in 2025.
