Vealstock 2023 Announced

It’s that time of year again, Gold Coast rock veterans Veal are set to hit the stage once again for their annual show, but this time things are ramping up. 2023 marks ten years for Veal, so on October 14, they have snapped up the chance to put on their own mini festival, appropriately dubbed, Vealstock.

Vealstock will take place at one of the Gold Coasts greatest venues, Vinnies Dive Bar. Bringing together some of the best names on the Gold Coast and Brisbane, we will see Veal joined by a roster of nine incredible local bands including Brisbane rock kings Gutterfire, Aussie punk pub rock masters Dad FightThe Green Whistle who reunite to play their first show in five years, Dog ShotVulturaChifon MagnifiquePyrokinesis and the Gold Coasts most prestige cover band, Beefed Up.

Co-headliners Dad Fight are nothing short of extreme fun. Bringing humour and energy to the stage, they’re the modern day answer to Frenzal Rhomb, tight as fuck while giving zero fucks. Dad Fight may just well be the answer to what Australia needs at the moment.

Gutterfire have been hitting stages left right and centre of late, having just wrapped up a massive interstate tour, the boys bring a big sludgey blues vibe, fronted by the high spirited and well animated Proton Jon, a Gutterfire show is never a dull moment.

Vealstock also will see Veal bassist Matt ‘Noz’ Nosworthy jump back on bass duties with The Green Whistle for their reunion show. A band close to Veals heart as vocalist Dan Maynard and Drummer Chris Dennis both played a part in the band in the earlier years. After a long five year hiatus, The Green Whistle are finally back and ready to kick some ass.

The list goes on, heavy GC rockers Dog Shot, the unrivalled unique spirit and nature of Chifon Magnique, the tight as fuck rock masters Vultura, the heavy as fuck Pyrokinesis and the unstoppable force of our favourite covers band Beefed up.

October 14 is being setup to be one of the biggest shows of the year, grab a ticket, hit the bar, get up front of the stage and rock the fuck out to some of the best bands we have to offer.
