Watch/listen here:

“Lyrically Tidal Wave explores a relationship in its twilight. The confronting realisation of a connection lost. As each persons lives change they are forced to redefine who they are together. Without letting go of the memories of the past, they can no longer have a future.

”After releasing our album Calm In Chaos last year we wanted to show a different side of Mass Sky Raid and create something that sounded fresh. It’s probably one of the more alternative rock side of what we have to offer.”

“I actually wrote the lyrics to the song sitting on the top of a hotel on the beach staring out to the ocean. I am pretty sure that is what inspired the Tidal Wave theme” “In the past me and Alex have been heavily involved in the writing process. Our newer members Josh and Nic are both now bringing their own flavors’ the Mass Sky Raid sounds which I am loving.

For just over a decade, Mass Sky Raid has established themselves as one of Australia’s top Alt Rock bands. They have toured across the country and shared stages with prominent acts such as Cog, Dead Letter Circus, Twelve Foot Ninja, I Am Giant (UK), The Butterfly Effect, Voyager, and Caligula’s Horse.

With an EP and two albums already released, their music has been gaining global coverage and airplay, featured in publications such as PROG, Blunt Mag, Heavy Mag, Triple J, Triple M, Australian Football League, Scenestr, Rebel FM, and more. Their singles ‘Arrows’ and ‘Closer’ have amassed over 380,000+ Spotify streams and made it to several editorial playlists, including “All New Rock” and “Rock Out.”

Mass Sky Raid’s previous and current work has also received nominations for awards such as “Best Heavy Track,” “Best Song,” “People’s Choice Award,” and “Breakout Artist of the Year” at the Gold Coast and Queensland Music Awards. Additionally, they secured funding from the “Gold Coast Regional Art Development Fund” Program.

Their latest album ‘Calm in Chaos‘ was a massive success and won The Triffid’s Album of the Year in November 2022. This achievement was largely due to the support from their fans and community, which is why Mass Sky Raid has a promising future as one of the country’s leading heavy music bands.

2023 is shaping up to be another big year for Mass Sky Raid as they build towards another EP release and National tour later in the year with TIDALWAVE showing just a glimpse of what is to come
