With a career spanning 4 acclaimed albums 3 EPs and countless tour cycles both domestically and abroad, Orpheus Omega has cemented themselves as one of hardest working and entertaining mainstays of the Australian Metal scene. The continued evolution has kept the band relevant and ever growing and in 2023 brings with it the release of ‘Portraits’, slated for April 20th.
To celebrate the new EP, Orpheus Omega brings their chaotic and introspective collaboration, ‘Portraits’ to the Evelyn Hotel on May 6 for a one night only performance. Playing their new release in FULL alongside some deep cuts and classics, the night is set to be one to remember.
“Portraits is a unique 5-track EP with every member contributing one song each in its entire vision and execution, creating the most eclectic and unique release from Orpheus Omega to date. With collaboration and features from an incredible cast of musicians including Andy Gillion (Andy Gillion/ Ex-Mors Principium Est), Bjorn ‘Speed’ Strid (Soilwork/ Night Flight Orchestra), Jukka Pelkonen and Markus Vanhala (Omnium Gatherum) and Jim Grey (Caligula’s Horse) this release encapsulates a truly raw and honest vision of each member of the band and their story so far.”
Each note, arrangement, lyric and aspect of the live performance has been designed individually and promises the most distinctive and exciting night of Orpheus Omega thus far. The band is joined on the night by an all star cast of live juggernauts including Naberus, Immorium (Can), Primitive and In Eden Slain.
