Today Australian industrial metal legends Witchgrinder have released their cover of Metallica’s ‘Through the Never’ to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the bands massive mainstream breakout the ‘Black Album’ which saw the the band catapulted to #1 with their hit ‘Enter Sandman’ and also spawned classic tracks such as ‘Sad But True’, ‘The Unforgiven’ and ‘Nothing Else Matters’.
In a press release from the band :
Witchgrinder is celebrating the 30 years of Metallica’s self-titled album aka (The Black Album).
A band that has been a massive influence in so many ways for each of us and as a band.
We decided to do our take on their song “Through the Never”
The idea to cover this song had been floating around for a few years but never had come to light.
With Witchgrinder recently been only concentrating on new material for the next release, lockdowns stopping the band from playing live shows. This was a perfect time to try something fun and new.
Staying true to the original song but also to the Witchgrinder sound we are excited to share this with you.
